Last week, I attended the Iowa Taxpayers Association Annual Meeting and Tax Symposium and the person introducing Governor Branstad mentioned the Governor’s busy schedule. When I returned to the office, I reviewed the Governor’s calendar and wondered if I could post my schedule on a recurring basis.
My plan is to post a schedule of my public interest activities on Mondays and to update the schedule to reflect what I actually did as the week unfolds.
Here is my schedule for the week beginning December 7th.
Monday, December 7th
4pm 3pm – Presidential Tech Town Hall Meeting – Hotel at Kirkwood
6:30pm – Office Hours (Auditor Miller and Supervisor Harris) – Robins City Hall
Tuesday, December 8th
8am – Downtown Open Coffee (tentative) – Early Bird Coffee Shop – 316 2nd ST SE – CR
1:15pm – Speak to Mr. David Swaney’s government classes – Linn-Mar High School

1:30pm – Meeting with Diversity Focus – Downtown Cedar Rapids
+3pm – Phone call with Iman Hassan Selim of the Islamic Center of Cedar Rapids re voter registration and other topics.
+4pm – Phone call with Mayor Chuck Hinz of the City of Robins.
Thursday, December 10th
11:30am – Metro North Rotary meeting – Cedar Rapids

Friday, December 11th
7:30am – Annual Cedar Rapids Community School District “State of the District” meeting – Cedar Rapids
+10am – Meeting with Ms. Dedra Beauregard re appointment to the Compensation Board
+4:40pm – Phone call with Mr. Seth Adams of Dakota Softworks
Saturday, December 12th
+6pm – 8th Annual Auditor’s Office Holiday Party hosted by Joel & Sylvia Miller
