+9:30am – Meeting with Mr. Dick Hogan – Commander of American Legion Post 298 in Marion re veterans who may be eligible for military exemption who are not receiving the exemption.
1130am – Attend MEDCO (Marion Economic Development Corporation) annual business luncheon at the Cedar Rapids Marriott.
+5pm – Interviewed by Brady Smith of KCRG re the Linn County Compensation Board and elected officials’ salaries.
6pm – Attend Corridor MPO open house at the Public Service Center (PSC).
Thursday, March 10th
+10:30am – Attend Governor Branstad’s signing of House File 2147.

+2:30-3:30pm – Attended PROPER PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW WHEN ELECTED OFFICIALS ARE NOT FULFILLING THEIR DUTIES by Mike Bennett – Iowa Attorney General’s Office
+3:45-4:30pm – Attended ISACA (Iowa State Association of County Auditors) business meeting.
+4:30-5:30pm – Visited with Tyler Technologies exhibitors.
+4:30pm – Received approval from Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers’ Market to setup a 15’x15′ stall for voter education and registration on 9/17/2016.
Friday, March 11th
Iowa State Association of Counties Spring school of instruction.
+10:15-11:15am – Attended STATE AUDITOR’S OFFICE update by Mary Mosiman, CPA, Auditor of State and Andy Nielsen, CPA, Deputy Auditor of State.
+11:15-12pm – Attended AUDITOR’S PANEL discussion by various county auditors.
+1-3pm – Attended POTPOURRI OF HAR AND WHAT IS TAXABLE by Mike Galloway and Ann Smisek of Ahler & Cooney, P.C.
+3-4:15pm – Attended ELECTION MAIL PROCESSING by the United States Postal System.
Saturday, March 12th
10am-2pm – Speak to Linn County Democratic Party convention delegates and guests at Washington High School. Q&As with two separate groups re election laws and processes.
