I made a small error in my letter of support for Ron Olson that I would like to clear up. He served 12 years on the Cedar Rapids School Board not 20 years as I stated.

Committee of County Officers
935 Second Street SE
Cedar Rapids, IA 52404
Dear Committee of County Officers:
I write to enthusiastically support Ron Olson’s appointment as a Linn County Supervisor. I have known Ron for many years and have always admired his business skills and community involvement. Ron built a very successful electric company in Eastern Iowa, from which he is now retired, while consistently giving his time and talents to our community. Based on my own experience as a county supervisor, I recommend Ron for the position without reservation.
Ron is a past president of Cedar Rapids Downtown Rotary, a past president of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation and he served for 20 years on the Cedar Rapids School Board. He regularly worked over 20 hours per week on school matters and as a result is very familiar with an elected official’s responsibilities to both the organization and constituents.
Ron’s knowledge and experience will allow him to quickly become a quality contributor to the Board of Supervisors and fulfill the responsibilities of the position in a way that benefits the public.
I encourage you to appoint Ron Olson to the Linn County Board of Supervisors. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Lu Barron
